Kyree Hobson, E7 Program Director
Hi, everyone! 😊 I’m Kyree Hobson and I’m the Program Director for E7 Kids Café! I love saying that because being a part of E7 has felt like such a divine experience for me from the moment I learned about the program and its mission. My life’s passion is to serve children, youth, and families to create more loving, healed, and connected communities. The first step to doing that, is making sure people have what they need—like healthy meals, safe places to live and play, and adequate education. I have been working with young people for over a decade, and young people have been my most brilliant teachers. I am particularly passionate about working with those in marginalized communities that have not been afforded the opportunities, resources, and care they deserve. I’ve been doing that work in the fields of social services, education, public health, and community programming. In addition to that, I spend every moment I can with my large, beautiful family! For me, family is everything, and we all get to choose what that means to us. E7 has become family for me, and I could not be happier to connect with the young people, families, and community members that E7 works with each week.
Marie Eldridge, E7 Program Coordinator
Greetings friends! My name is Marie Eldridge, and I am the Kids Cafe Coordinator for the E7 Kids Cafe program housed out of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church as well as one of the Sunday Nursery workers at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church. I have been with the E7 program since it started in the late 90’s as a volunteer and was hired on in 2005. I grew up in the Cincinnati area until I was 16 then moved here to Lexington in 1991 with my parents and 2 younger sisters. A 1994 graduate of Henry Clay High School I spent 12 years after high school volunteering at the former Johnson Elementary School here in Lexington serving as board member of the school’s PTA as well as working closely with the children and families thru the schools FRC program. On top of working with the programs at Maxwell Street I also work at Calvary Baptist church teaching in the 3- and 4-year-old Parents Day Out program and helping with Wednesday Night childcare. I love being with the children and feel that is my calling by God to help kids and to be a positive role model in their lives. I enjoy being around them and feel it is what my life mission is all about! In 2009 I became a first-time godmother to my beautiful Goddaughter Jamayah who I am currently helping to raise. Children need a village of love and support and I take pride in knowing that I am making a positive impact on the lives of so many wonderful children in my community!
Viceanda Brown, E7 Program Support Associate
Hi, my name is Viceanda Brown. I have been working with E7 Kids Café since 2016. My passion is for the children to be able to come to a safe place to have an after-school program where they can eat, play, and learn. At E7, I prepare meals and snacks, and I make sure our spaces are clean and safe. I am also the person that the kids love to ask when they want extra snacks. I start every program by asking every single person how they are doing. I am always happy to help the children or the program in any way I can.
